How Spotlite Works

You invite candidate via email/SMS to complete relevant check(s)

Within minutes you have a comprehensive, simple view of candidates’ checks status, and documents when available, in the Spotlite Agent Portal.

Applicant digitally completes the information needed for the check

Applicant follows link in invitation to download Spotlite app and log in (Spotlite is also available as an API to integrate in your existing systems). Applicant completes a liveness check, scans documents and collects information required for the selected check.

Spotlite automatically retrieves certifications requested

Spotlite automatically reads and validates the Identity documents against a range of global KYC databases and social media, depending on the check requested. It highlights risks and provides you with a Certificate, an Audit trail and great MI - returning all info to your Agent Portal.

For candidates without valid documents for a remote check, your staff can meet the candidate, log into the app as an agent and complete all the verification steps without needing to photocopy documents or email personal information.

How much does it cost?

Costs start at £2.50 + VAT. Pay as you go pricing is available through the Quotation and Registration portal. Minimum credit purchase is £50. There are discounts available for volume purchases.

How long does a check take?

Once the candidate presses submit, the information is in your administration dashboard in as little as 60 seconds. Our support team will work with the candidate if they have any issues with submitting their information.

What support is available?

We provide a full suite of FAQs through our Support function, where tickets can be raised and tracked. 1-2-1 service support is available weekdays between 8am and 5pm, with emergency assistance available outside of these times.

Can the app be customised to our own branding?

Yes it can. We can enable full customisation by offering Spotlite as an API. Get in touch below for more details.

What if I want to do in-person checks, as well as remote?

Spotlite can be used for both face-to-face and fully remote checks.

Why should I use Spotlite to perform identity checks?

How does Spotlite fit in with SafeGuarden?

CDD also has a product called SafeGuarden, which enables personal data stores (digital wallets) and community-based, secure and self-controlled data sharing. The personal data that can be stored and shared relates to the individual who owns it, and can include identity information, identity documents, and “right to” attestations. That’s where Spotlite comes in.

Spotlite is a product in its own right, and doesn’t have to be used alongside SafeGuarden. However, by using Spotlite, you open up opportunities for being digital wallet ready in the future.
